BMX doesn't seem to have the same hype and coverage as it used to. Some could argue this is a good thing. There is a distinctive style that runs through the culture which results in fantastic creativity, seemingly unrelated to trends and other temporary aesthetics.

As with any culture they have their fair share of average produce but the quality really stands out from the rest. It's inspiring to see what they come up with in their clothing lines, bike product and component combination's. It communicates to me an honesty not seen in heavily marketed 'sports' or sub-cultures and could be the sign of an industry not in the brightest limelight.

If you want to learn more and see the happenings of BMX culture, I recommend the Defgrip blog. It's got huge variety and is interesting regardless of if you're into riding.
